Catching up

Well you can't say we don't find adventure. Monday night we lost power in Cooke City with winds over 80 mph and we did not have power when we checked out Tuesday morning at 8am.

We enjoyed our stay in Cooke City and the motel is one of the nicest small motels we have ever stayed in. It was so well kept you could eat off the floor. We went next door to Beds and Buns for lunch where mother found a couple friends.

We located a pack

We could not spend much time as the weather was turning bad and we needed to check in at the Alpine Motel in Cooke City, MT. Look inside the red rectangle for the wolves. They were several hundred yards away. We will be setting out early in the morning to relocate and identify the pack.

Happy Veteran's Day

Saturday Bear Exursion

Today we set out to West Yellowstone to get upclose and personal with some Grizzlies. The weather has turned quite cold and we are expecting snow tonight. Hopefully we will have some active wolves in the Lamar Valley. We are going to try to locate the Druid Pack.

Fab Friday

We took the day off to rest today. After a great nap we went out to find a place to eat. We found a great little place called Allgoods where the owner Dick Allgood came over and chatted with us about growing up in Alabama and moving to Miami before blowing up to Montana after hurricane Andrew. We had one of the sweetest servers named Kacey from Texas (Hook 'em Horns). By the way she had beautiful eyes. Here she is with Mom. They say if you have not been to Allgoods, then you don't know Dick!

We also wandered out to the top of the mountain where we found some nice homes. We found a place called Cowboy Heaven, If we can find 8 couples interested we might be able to afford the 2 bd- 2bth.

Our Condo

I finally decided to post the pics of the condo where we are staying. We are expecting snow this weekend. The condos are the Lake Condos at Big Sky and we love it here.

This is the rear patio and the view we have from it.

Shopping in Bozeman

It was a day we chose to make easy. After the Idaho trips it was time to rest some. We went food shopping at the Community Co-Op. It had to be one of the nicest health food stores on the planet. They are "light years ahead of us in Florida". Pardon the pun but the store is using Solar. We have seen many forms of alternative energy being used here in the west.

After we shopped it was time to cook the healthy grub.

Lamar Valley Trip

We adventured out to the Lamar Valley on Tuesday. Although it is a long 350 mile round trip from Big Sky it is well worth it. The wildlife is in abundance and you can experience it up close and personal if you are patient, see for yourself.
